During this presentation ,author will discuss her life living with Mild Cerebral Palsy, (focusing on childhood adolescent experiences), and her journey to becoming an author. Author will explore the challenges some may face not fitting in with peers, and other adversities. This program, seeks to explore a way to celebrate being different and learn self-acceptance. It also encourages audiences and readers to go after dreams and life goals, by utilizing what makes one special.

During this presentation, author will personally read to the students from chapters 5 and 8. Both chapters deal with issues of bullying and enforcing an no-violence policy in and out the classroom. Author will give select students an opportunity to perform in the short skit Take a Chance, also seen in Trudy Mackintower and the Originals (Book 1-first day of school). Afterwards, author will offer a short Q&A session. This program promotes, tolerance of others and anti-bulling.

Rapping vs. Poetry During this lively presentation, author will help students discover their own natural talent, much like the beloved Trudy Mackintower character, rapping Randy.(Who has a talent for rapping). Author will then discuss the similarities between the popular music genre, Rapping and Poetry. Students will then be encouraged to participate in a literary rap battle. This program promotes self-discovery, confidence, and public speaking in a fun and innovate way.
