Since faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not yet seen,
you, Lord, are the very thing that sustains me,
and carries me above torrent waters,
making, the ocean deep, dry land beneath my feet,
holding my focus, when doubt creeps in, pulling me up when I start to sink in.
You are ever before me, so even when the winds howl around me, you declare peace.
No matter the condition of the storm, I know victory is within reach.
All have to do, is believe that even when the waters are troubled, I don’t have to be
and each step I take towards you
my faith grows
from the size of a mustard seed
to a great and mighty tree.
I watch the sea, become still as I surrender to your will,
and what fear had diluted, has now become firm,
as I realize I have the power to subdue the storm.
It is me who me who finally sees beyond the waters of the deep.
It is me who me who will rage, and create waves in your name.
It is me who remain, wildly untamed, with uncontrollable faith.
I have conquered the waters that I so feared, no longer lost at sea; I draw you near.
